James A. Hislop is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Penske Capital Partners and Transportation Resource Partners, Funds II thru V. These funds and their affiliates have invested over $1 billion in equity in 26 transactions from 1997 thru 2019. These funds have focused on control investments in the Transportation Industry.
Mr. Hislop was formerly a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1979 after receiving his BSBA degree from Bucknell University. Mr. Hislop received his MBA in Corporate Finance from New York University in 1982.
Mr. Hislop currently serves on the Board of Directors of Endurance Warranty Sales, Tire Group International, Quality Liaison Services and Nacarato Volvo.
Outside of his professional activities, Mr. Hislop is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Lumen Institute and a Volunteer Pilot with Mercy Flights Southeast, Angel Flights Northeast and Patient Airlift Services.
Mr. Hislop is the Co-Founder of the Hislop Family Foundation, which benefits “children, cancer research, Christianity and cerebral palsy.” Mr. Hislop was a Trustee and Head of the Finance Committee of Kent Place School, based in Summit, NJ.
