Fr. Daniel Ray is a Legionary of Christ priest. Born and raised outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he grew up in a United Methodist family and after graduating from high school, attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance on the French Horn in 1994. While in college he converted to Catholicism. Following graduation he entered the seminary of the Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire, Connecticut. He studied philosophy and theology in Rome, Italy at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He was ordained in 2006.
Following ordination, he served in Sacramento California at the University of Sacramento and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In 2011 he was named the President of The Highlands School, in Las Colinas, Texas, a position he held for 8 years. His current assignment is as superior for the Legionary community in Rye, NY and Chaplain for the Lumen Institute in Manhattan. Fr. Daniel enjoys mountain/road biking and making music.
